Students handle the basic operations of Park Avenue Records. The executive board
consists of the president, and the directors of directors of marketing, artist
management, recording operation, production, legal operations, and finance, all
of who report to the president of the company. Students are eligible for officer
positions after one semester of involvement in the company or in special circumstances
by appointment.
A faculty advisor serves as the liaison between the
Executive Board and the General Advisory Board. The
faculty advisor helps secure support
from the University
and outside sources. The faculty advisor convenes regularly with the executive
board to ensure integration between the operations of Park Avenue Records
with the educational missions of the University, and
to ensure compliance with the
University and Board of Regents.
Park Avenue Records also profits from the
advice of a team of industry and academic professionals,
some of whom have as much as 50 years of experience
with the recording
and entertainment industry. The Instructional Advisory Team consists of
local faculty and staff. The General Advisory Board
includes industry luminaries
such as Gary LeMel, President of Warner Records and David MacKay.
